Bleeding Edge

ZeroCool is the first full character I ever made in my career, professionally. This was my internship at Ninja Theory in Cambridge, 3 years ago. The team gave me the incredible chance to make a full character from the get go. I’m extremely grateful for this big challenge they threw at me so fast. It’s exactly what I needed, starting out.
Thanks to the whole Bleeding Edge crew for the amazing teamwork and inspiration.
Thanks especially for the extra support and mentoring from my fellow Artists:
Aleksandr Kirilenko, Bao Vu, Dominic Pearce, Warwick Mellow and Aaron Mcelligott.

The in game model is designed by Marco Teixeira, rigged by Jacob Feeley, animated by Luke Murray and the VFX are made by Tobias Noller. Presentation and lighting in Unreal Engine done by me.

Makutu is the second character I made at Ninja Theory. Combining anatomy with synthetic feeling and hard surface techniques was an interesting challenge! Had a lot of fun making this cheerful, big boy!

Making a killer dolfin inside a robot/fish-tank is just a normal day at Ninja Theory. This was my third character I made for the game, Bleeding Edge. I had to use a lot of hard surface techniques for this. The end result is terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Had a blast working on this!

Aside from these hero characters I was also responsible for the majority of the skins in this game. I made 2D concepts as well as 3D models for many of them. Here are some of them. Sadly I wasn’t able to create nice renders because the project got cancelled before I had the chance to. These are screenshots from the in game skin shop.
